We’re proud to present the JavaScript Open Source Awards 🏆
Because our work in software development depends more and more on well-made open source, many projects and their creators definitely deserve recognition. That’s why we decided to start a new annual tradition at Amsterdam JSNation – the JavaScript Open Source Awards, highlighting the most impactful projects and the people that have majorly contributed to our community.
To prove the concept, we’ve awarded the first batch of Open Source Awards at our sister conference React Amsterdam, and it was a success!
At Amsterdam JSNation, we’ll give away the second batch focusing on general JavaScript projects, and right now, we’d use your help with nominations. You can submit projects (the more, the better) that you’d like to see amongst nominees for 2018 awards edition via Pull Requests (nominees.md
) or Online form.
To keep things fair, this project is entirely driven by volunteers, without any dedicated commercial company support. If you’re willing to participate or provide feedback, you are welcome to join the volunteer committee or the jury.
Submission deadline for this year's awards is May 18 and late submissions won’t be accepted. You can read about the rules and the concept of the awards on GitHub.
We’ll announce the winners during Amsterdam JSNation Conference after short-listing and voting round with the judges.
And by the way…
We’ve decided to do a bit of spring cleaning and update our brand. AmsterdamJS Conference is now Amsterdam JSNation!
